Sept. 10th is the Internet Slowdown

You probably noticed that things look a little different on our site today and it probably is not the first site that you visited today that was displaying the same message.

We are proud to support Net Neutrality for Internet Users to access whatever content they wish at the speed they pay for. Residents of these United States pay some of the highest rates for broadband Internet access than the rest of the wired world.

The biggest problem with Net Neutrality is that it allows monopolistic cable providers engage in unfair business practices with their new competitors: YouTube, Hulu, Amazon Prime, and Netflix.

Second biggest problem is “featuring Sting!”, and by that I mean it is boring.

The truth is that this is about bandwidth and the future of entertainment. The Internet is a better experience for people than traditional broadcasting and television needs to catch up before it goes the way of newspapers, radio, and the movies.

The Internet has proven to be one of the best innovations in human history. Certainly the best since the Industrial Revolution Part II. I pay my Internet Service Provider to access the content that I choose, not the content that they choose.

Don’t let the cable providers destroy the Internet. Please sign the petition today.
