Self-hosted [WordPress.org](http://wordpress.org/) install is way better than [Blogger](http://www.blogger.com/). There is no contest between the two sets of features. You can even listen to Matt Cutts just to be sure.

He didn’t answer is WordPress.com is better than [Blogger](http://www.blogger.com/), probably closer to a toss up, but Blogger does have some pretty intriguing looking options for monetizing your content with AdSense or Google Affiliate products. WordPress.com has [WordAds](http://wordads.co/) you can run, but nothing that can compare to what Google offers on Blogger. That is unless you pay for [WordPress VIP](http://vip.wordpress.com/our-services/#hosting) a scant $3,750.
