# SEO Companies That Publish Their Prices

We checked 653 US local SEO agencies, every one in the Semrush partner
directory that lists Local SEO as a service, for a price you could compare.
41 publish a monthly price for an SEO service. The percentiles, what
each price band buys and how the list was made are below, for everyone. The list
itself, in price order with each price, the page it came from and the day it was
read, is shown to signed-in users; a free account is enough (see The list, at the
end). Prices change; the linked page is the one to check. Read between
August 26, 2026 and September 12, 2026.

Roughly nine in ten publish nothing comparable: 91.3% (95% interval
89.2% to 93.4%), after a random re-test of 150 of the
478 agencies where no pricing page was found.

## The numbers

Nearest-rank percentiles of the 41 census entry prices and the 27 published top tiers.

| Series | n | Min | p25 | Median | p75 | Max | Mean |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Entry tier | 41 | $246 | $899 | $1,500 | $1,999 | $3,500 | $1,517 |
| Top published tier | 27 | $1,000 | $2,000 | $3,000 | $5,000 | $10,000 | $4,029 |

A published ladder climbs 2.3 times from entry to top at the median
(quartiles 1.9 to 4.2, n = 27). Ahrefs' poll of 439 SEO
providers puts the mean local SEO retainer at $1,557 a month
(https://ahrefs.com/blog/seo-pricing/); the mean entry price here is $1,517.

| Entry price band | Agencies | What the pages in the band promise |
|---|---|---|
| $0 to $499 | 4 | Listings and a Business Profile, a dashboard, or one line item inside a larger package; often priced for one location. |
| $500 to $999 | 12 | One location: Business Profile management, citations, a handful of tracked keywords and a monthly report. Content is usually zero to one post. |
| $1,000 to $2,499 | 18 | The common agency entry package: technical fixes, one to four pieces of content, a few links a month, a named contact. |
| $2,500 and above | 7 | Multi-location or competitive-market work: more content, digital PR, strategist time, weekly touchpoints. |

## Our own prices, published

- **SEO Services**: $995/month. Monthly SEO done by a person, for businesses outside legal, dental and healthcare.
- **Agentic Local**: $249/month for one location. Monthly local SEO for one location, run by agents. AI-guided setup and AI search work are included, and nothing changes until you approve it.

Both are month-to-month, cancel anytime. Agentic Local is software plus agents, not a hands-on
retainer, so the like-for-like row is SEO Services. Every price: https://seobandwagon.com/pricing

## How this list is made

- Population: the 653 US agencies in the Semrush partner directory that list Local SEO among their services, a census rather than a sample (654 directory records; one agency held two profiles for one page).
- Discovery: 12 standard pricing paths per domain, fetched August 26, 2026 to August 29, 2026. 176 agencies answered with a pricing page; 98 of those pages carried a real dollar figure; 75 carried a monthly price for some service.
- Reading: every extracted figure was read by hand against the cached page on September 2, 2026, and each page with an SEO price was re-read for its ladder on September 12, 2026. 41 agencies publish their own monthly price for an SEO service.
- Excluded: a price for a different service (25 pages), market commentary or a quoted survey (14), figures that are not a price such as ad-spend minimums and form fields (8), one template demo and one duplicate.
- Re-test: 150 of the 478 agencies with no pricing page found were mapped again; 5 had a real pricing page of their own (3.3%, 95% interval 0.5% to 6.2%), 4 of them for SEO, listed with the census rows. The corrected share publishing a comparable price is 8.7% (95% interval 6.6% to 10.8%).
- A separate check of 43 legal-marketing agencies at 14 paths found 7 publishing a rate; they are not in this list.

## How much do SEO companies charge?

Of the 653 US local SEO agencies we checked, 41 publish a monthly SEO price, and their entry prices run from $246 to $3,500 a month. The median is $1,500; among the 27 that publish a ladder, the median top tier is $3,000.

The rest of the market is a quote. Roughly nine in ten of the agencies checked publish no SEO price you could compare: 91.3% once a random re-test of 150 of the agencies with no pricing page found is counted in, with a 95% interval of 89.2% to 93.4%.

An independent poll agrees on the level. Ahrefs asked 439 SEO providers what they charge and found a mean local SEO retainer of $1,557 a month; the mean entry price on this list is $1,517.

## Does SEO Bandwagon publish its prices?

Yes, every one of them, on the pricing page. The two that belong beside this list are SEO Services, a person doing the monthly work, at $995/month, and Agentic Local, agents doing it for one location, at $249/month for one location.

Agentic Local is software plus agents, so it is not a like-for-like row against a hands-on retainer; SEO Services is. Both are month-to-month, cancel anytime, and the free audit shows what your site needs before you pay for either.

## Who are the best SEO companies?

We do not rank them, and neither does this list: it is every US local SEO agency in the Semrush partner directory that publishes a monthly SEO price, in price order.

Most pages that rank agencies are written by agencies, and the writer tends to come first. A published price, month-to-month terms and a report that shows what changed are the three things to check before any ranking.

What a price buys changes with the band. The cheapest tiers on these pages are listings, a Business Profile and a dashboard; the common agency entry package adds technical fixes, a few pieces of content and a handful of links a month; the top tiers add strategist time and multi-location work.

## Why do so few SEO companies publish a price?

Most never made a pricing page: 176 of the 653 agencies checked had one at a standard path. Of the 75 whose page led with a monthly figure, only 26 had put their own SEO price there; the others led with hosting, a CRM licence, ad management, someone else's survey or a budget selector.

Reading each page in full found 41 agencies with an SEO price, because some bury the SEO ladder under other products, and a random re-test of 150 of the 478 agencies with no page found turned up 5 more with a real pricing page of their own, 3.3% of the sample. That is how the corrected estimate of 8.7% publishing was reached, which leaves roughly nine in ten publishing nothing you could compare.

## How much does an SEO consultant cost?

In Ahrefs' poll of 439 SEO providers, consultants reported a mean of $3,250 a month, freelancers $1,348 and agencies $3,209; the mean hourly rate across the poll was $111.

On Clutch, 45% of the 4,146 US agencies that publish an hourly band put it at $100 to $149 an hour, read 2026-08-27. Those are self-reported bands, not invoices.

SEO Bandwagon publishes no consulting rate. What it publishes is the monthly package and the retainer above, and the free audit, which is where a consultation would start anyway.

## The list

The list is shown to signed-in users; a free account is enough. It holds 45
agencies, the 41 from the census and the 4 the re-test found, in price
order: the entry price each one publishes, the top tier where there is a ladder
(27 publish one), the pricing model, the tiers as the page names them, the
stated contract minimum, the setup fee, what the page says clients pay, and a link
to the page the price was read from, with the day it was read. The same rows
download as a CSV once signed in. The numbers above are for everyone; the links
to the agencies' pricing pages are for readers, not for bots, so they open with
a sign-in.
