Your choice
Your choice covers analytics, advertising with Google and Meta, the first-visit cookie and the sign-up note below, the only optional storage on this site. Change your answer here whenever you like; it applies across every page, including the city ledgers.

What we store
- Session cookie (strictly necessary): set only when you sign in, so the dashboard knows it is you. Cleared when you sign out or it expires.
- Google Analytics 4 and advertising cookies (optional): set only after you accept. Google Analytics measures visits, and its advertising features can add your browser to audiences of past visitors that Google Ads shows our ads to. With the banner rejected or unanswered, Google Consent Mode keeps analytics and advertising storage denied and none of these cookies is written.
- Meta Pixel cookies (optional): set only after you accept, and only on our public pages, never on your dashboard, sign-in pages or reports. The Meta Pixel tells Meta which public pages you open, and when you send the contact form or create an account, so our ads can reach past visitors on Facebook and Instagram and we can measure them. It may also tell Meta which buttons you click there, and send a scrambled (hashed) copy of a name, email address or phone number you type into a form there. With the banner rejected or unanswered, the Meta Pixel is not loaded, and its cookies (_fbp and _fbc) are deleted from this site.
- Sign-up note (optional): if you have accepted and then create an account, a cookie holding only that fact, so the next public page you open can tell the Meta Pixel. It is deleted then, after 7 days, or when you reject.
- First-visit cookie (optional): how you first arrived, meaning the campaign tags or referral code in the link you followed, the search engine or site that sent you, the page you landed on, and when, plus the click identifier Google adds when you arrive from one of our Google ads. Nothing that tells us who you are. Set on your first visit and kept for 90 days, counted again from each click on one of our ads; if you create an account or send the contact form, it is saved with the account or the message, and the sign-up event sent to Google Analytics carries it without the ad click identifier. Rejecting replaces it with a marker saying so, and it is not set again.
- Two browser preferences (not cookies, stored locally): your light/dark theme and the cookie choice above. Neither leaves your browser.
Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts page views and page speed for every visitor, stores nothing in your browser, so it needs no choice.
