Information We Collect
When you use SEO Bandwagon, we may collect information you provide directly, such as your name and email address when you create an account via Google or GitHub OAuth. We also collect usage data including search queries, pages visited, and feature usage to improve our services.
Browser Extension
The SEO Bandwagon Chrome extension analyzes pages entirely in your browser. It sends nothing to us unless you connect it to your account with an API key and leave its data-collection setting on. When both are true, saving a page sends the full analysis result to seobandwagon.com over HTTPS: the page URL and capture time; extracted on-page SEO data (title, meta tags, canonical, robots, Open Graph and Twitter Card tags, structured data); headings; link, image and media audits; content statistics such as word counts and top phrases; page technical facts such as element counts and load time; detected technologies; Core Web Vitals; readability and keyword statistics; hreflang, mixed-content and schema checks; a hash of the page content; the computed score; and the extension version and your browser's user-agent string. Filing a local citation sends only the citation fields (directory name and URL, the name, address, phone and website found on the page, the match score, status and notes) and never the screenshot, which stays on your device. When the search-results overlay is available and enabled, the extension sends the result domains shown on a search page — domains only, never your search terms — so it can show stats for them. The extension does not read or send your browsing history, and it makes no request without a key. Captures are visible only to the account that saved them.
Outreach Data
If you use link building, we store the send-from email address and postal address you provide so they can appear in the pitches you approve. We never send email for you.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to provide and improve our SEO tools, personalize your experience, save your search history and tracked keywords, and communicate with you about your account.
Data Storage
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL) with encryption at rest and in transit. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
Third-Party Services
We use DataForSEO for search data, Google OAuth for authentication, and Stripe for payment processing. Each of these services has their own privacy policies.
Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic. Analytics cookies are set only after you accept the cookie banner; if you reject it (or ignore it), Google Consent Mode keeps analytics storage denied and no analytics cookies are set. Your choice is stored in your browser and you can change it by clearing site data. We also send server-side conversion events (for example, when a purchase completes) that carry no browser identifiers.
