What is a Google review link?

A Google review link is a link that opens the review form for one business on Google. It is built from the business's Place ID, so each business has its own. To find a Place ID, use the Place ID finder.

How to make yours

  1. Paste your Place ID into the first box. No account needed. Or sign in, then search by business name and city. Searching by name is free with a free account.
  2. Check that the name, address and category match your listing, because two businesses can share a name. A pasted Place ID shows no name, so open the Maps link to check it.
  3. Copy the link, or download the QR code.

Where to use the QR code

Print the QR code on receipts, invoices, counter cards or packaging. In a follow-up email, send the link itself. The PNG works on screens and for ordinary printing. The SVG stays sharp at any print size, so use it for signs and large prints.

Ask for reviews the way Google allows

Google's Maps user-generated content policy sets the rules for asking. It does not allow offering incentives for a review, such as payment, discounts or free goods or services. It does not allow discouraging negative reviews, or asking only the customers you expect to be happy. And it asks businesses not to require or pressure customers to review while they are on the premises. Ask every customer the same way.

Read the policy: Prohibited and restricted content.
